You can now quickly connect your Blackboard course(s) to ARES, USC Libraries’ e-reserves system. ARES allows students to access course Libraries-managed e-reserves materials ranging from PDFs, Word documents, and web links to full text journal articles and instructor uploads.

Instructors: If you have already created your course in Course Reserves (aka ARES), please notify IDD Staff at idd@usc.edu before following these instructions.

Instructions

  1. Click on the ‘plus’ (+) icon above the course menu
  2. Click on Course Link
  3. Click on Browse
  4. In the pop-up window, scroll down, and click on Ares Course Reserves LTI.
  5. Select Available to Users, then Submit
  6. A link to the app will be added to your course menu. Click Ares Course Reserves LTI.
  7. Click on Choose a semester
  8. Choose the current semester, then click on Create Course
  9. Your course reserves will appear on the page.
