Requesting a New Blackboard Organization
Current Paid USC Faculty or Staff
To request a Blackboard organization, please complete and submit a request for a new Blackboard organization at web-app.usc.edu/bborg/request. You must be a current paid USC faculty or staff member to be able to access this page. Because Blackboard organization leaders have the ability to view particpants’ 10 digit USC IDs, students cannot request, sponsor, or lead a Blackboard organization, even with the permission of the organization’s sponsor(s), leader(s), or participants.
ITS will verify and process your request and then notify you, the organization’s sponsor(s), and the organization’s leader(s) once the organization is created. This process may take up to two business days.
Current Registered USC Students
Any current paid USC faculty or staff member can sponsor and lead a Blackboard organization on your or your group’s behalf. However, because organization leaders have the ability to view particpants’ 10 digit USC IDs, students cannot sponsor or lead a Blackboard organization, even with the permission of the organization’s sponsor(s), leader(s), or participants.
Alternatively, all recognized USC student organizations are eligible to receive a USC website outside of Blackboard. For more information, please visit sait.usc.edu/stuorgs/checklist_website.asp
